CHALKVILLE — A 15-year-old boy was shot Tuesday evening in the 100 block of Chalkville Manor Drive.
Just after 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to investigate a shooting. The caller told the 911 operator that her 15-year-old son had been shot by another young male at a nearby basketball court.
After shooting the victim the suspect fled on foot, said Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randy Christian.
The boy was transported to an area hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
