TRUSSVILLE — Poll workers said there had been surges of crowds Tuesday morning shortly after the polls opened and again at mid-morning, but for the most part, just a steady turnout.
By noon, about 2,000 voters had cast their ballots in the Trussville property tax referendum. The polls at First Baptist Church of Trussville and Trussville City Hall opened at 7 a.m. and will remain open until tonight at 7. Officials said anyone in line at closing time will be permitted to vote.
“It has not been crowded, but there has been a steady trickle of voters,” City Clerk Lynn Porter said.
