TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville held on to defeat Moody 3-2 on Tuesday in the team’s season opener.
Tate Mosely went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Lady Huskies.
Callie Shields pitched a complete game four-hitter, allowing just one earned run.
Hewitt-Trussville (1-0) travels to Cordova on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. game. The next home game for the Lady Huskies is Feb. 26 against Carver-Birmingham. The doubleheader begins at 5 p.m.
