CLAY — Both Clay-Chalkville varsity basketball teams fell Friday in Class 6A Northeast sub-regional contests.
The boys lost 65-48 at third-ranked Lee-Huntsville (25-5). Clay-Chalkville led 16-13 after the first quarter and trailed just 27-25 at halftime. Then Lee-Huntsville pulled away.

Clay-Chalkville (22-10) was led by senior Brian Clark and junior Hasan Abdullah, who scored 11 points each.
The Clay-Chalkville girls fell 63-40 at home to Huntsville. Clay-Chalkville trailed 25-18 at halftime. The Lady Cougars finish the 2013-2014 season with a 25-7 record.
