TRUSSVILLE — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Jefferson and St. Clair counties from Monday afternoon until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters say a cold front will dip into the deep south and be overrun by moisture streaming into the atmosphere, which will trigger ice, sleet and snow.
Currently, most of the accumulation is expected north of a line from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham to Ranburn, but that line could shift depending on new data over the next 24 to 36 hours. Read the full weather advisory from the NWS below.
