JEFFERSON COUNTY — Authorities are investigating a “potential kidnapping” that may have occurred at Jefferson State Community College on Tuesday.
The college on its Twitter account just before 5 p.m. Tuesday said extra patrols are on duty and the possible kidnapping is being investigated by multiple agencies.

The Jefferson campus is located on Carson Road.
5:45 p.m. update: The Jefferson State Community College Twitter account just posted that Gabriell Denise Coleman is missing. If you have information on her whereabouts, call 205-856-6093 or 205-913-7777.
6:35 p.m. update: The Birmingham division of the FBI says Coleman has been found safe.
