PINSON — The city of Pinson’s tree lighting ceremony and Christmas parade are scheduled for this weekend.
The tree lighting ceremony will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Triangle Park.

“We will light the live Christmas tree that we’ve decorated for this year,” Mayor Hoyt Sanders said. “We’ll have some choirs from some of the local schools perform and we will dispense hot chocolate and cookies.”
The Christmas parade will be Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Floats will launch at Pinson Valley High School and come to a stop at Triangle Park.
