Clay Library Book Sale
The library will hold a used book sale Nov.4 through Nov. 9. Books will be for sale for a minimum donation of $1 to $2 per item. Shop early for the best selection! Call 680-3812 for more information.
PTO Meeting
HTHS PTO will hold a meeting Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. in the lecture hall of HTHS. A group of guest speakers from Samford University’s School of Pharmacy will be in attendance to help promote awareness of prescription drug abuse.
Veteran’s Day Luncheon
The Veterans Day Luncheon will be Nov. 9 at the Pinson United Methodist Church Asbury Center at 11:30 a.m. Please call City Hall to make arrangements to attend seating is limited. Local group, Tableland, will entertain us with a bluegrass, gospel and patriotic concert.
Christmas Bazaar
The Palmerdale United Methodist Women’s Ministry will host the 2nd annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. A variety of vendors will be present with representatives from national companies as well as unique arts and crafts.
Science Fiction Literature Discussion
Clay City Councilman Kevin Small has volunteered to lead a general science fiction literature discussion on Tuesday, Nov
. 13 at 6 p.m. This will be an introductory meeting for the group to decide on a format and talk about potential future meetings. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Call 680-3812 for more information.
TASTE
The chamber will present the 4th annual TASTE (Trussville’s Art Show and Tasting Event) on Thursday, Nov.15 at the Trussville Civic Center. Tickets are on sale now at the chamber office, and various locations throughout town and are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.
Christmas Home Tour
The Eastern Women Junior Committee of 50 will host their annual Christmas Home Tour on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets are $10. All proceeds will benefit local nonprofit Independence Place. For information visit www.ewjc.org
